I have been a fulfillment guide for 8 years, and a psychotherapist for 12. I have had a lifelong interest in concepts of identity, motivation, and balance. I have experience in reclaiming focus from good grades and seeking approval into valuing play and adventure, while remaining responsible to life demands.
I went from being a nerdy “good student” to becoming the black sheep of my family by becoming a runner and health coach. I reached fitness goals I never thought were possible for me. I expanded beyond my labels. I thought of myself as a follower, and yet here I am self employed!
I’ve been married, divorced, and remarried. I’ve become a ridiculous cat mom. I’m navigating the journey of chronic illness and the frustrations of medical system inadequacy requiring a lot of self education and advocacy.
I am an ice hockey goalie, which in many ways feels like it reflects how I work: in the moment, responsive and responsible, trying my best, with perspective on the game as the whole, and having fun in the process.
Outside of the time I spend with clients, I am most likely on the ice getting hit with pucks, building in the yarn arts, reading, exploring the wildlife of my neighborhood, or spending time with friends and family. If we work together, there’s a 90% likelihood my cat Sierra will be adding her softness and loving energy to the sessions as well.
